Abstract

Human Development Index (HDI) and inflation has a correlation with
economic growth. High HDI and low inflation will increase economic
growth. The objective of the research was to analyze the influence of HDI
and Inflation to economic growth of Riau. The research was quantitative
analytic with primary data with the time series obtained from BPS
(Central Bureau of Statistics) of Riau. The result of the research showed
that there was the positif influence of HDI variable to the variable
economic growth. The result of the research also showed that there was the
negative influence of inflation variable to the variable economic growth.
