Abstract
Life of the apostle of God, Muhammad (Peace be upon him), as the
head of government on the one hard and Islamic religious leaders on
the other hard did not escape from a variety of social and political
issues. The problems disturbed the prophet (P.B.U.H) credibility both
as a leader of Madinah and a leader of Muslims. Those issues were
not only caused by the enemies of Islam like Judaism, but also from to
people of Islam in Madinah itself, both Aus and Khazraj tribes, and
even among his close friends, al-Muhajirun. All of these problems
must be faced by him with caution and sometimes with the help of
God’s revelation, will result in a shake-up in his own government or
even break all down. Ongoing rivalry between Aus and Khazraj tribes
was the principal cause of social and political issues in prophet’s
governance. Further, the news of Aisyah RA who left from the group
in the way back to Madinah also threaten the credibility of prophet
Muhammad (p.b.u.h) as the leader of the Islamic leman and the head
of the government. In addition, the act of the Jews who often cause
social problems in society and their unfaith fullness to the covenant
they made with the prophet (p.b.u.h), make the problems in his
government more complicated and requires special skill to make the
young country, Madinah, still existing. All presented in this paper by
pointing the historical sources as possible from information of various
historians both Muslims and non Muslims in order to make the fights
of prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h) as a head of government and leader
of the Islamic ummah clearly visible and not biased.
