Abstract
This article describes about zakat in indonesia and the effort to carry this topic up to national zakat issue. Considering that zakat has two functions (double function) at once, that is spiritual function and social function (fiscal). Spiritual function is responsible or obligtaion for a slave (moslem) to his God which oblige zakat. Whereas social function is a function that is useful for the social project establishment. It can be continued by the government expenditure and transfer in govenrment fiscal policy.
