Abstract
Facing the Asean Economic Community, education is challenged have an
active role. Education is the frontline in the form of qualified human
resources, competitive, innovative and skilled. Implementation of the new
curriculum in 2013 highly recommend the scholarly or scientific approach
in which the student-centered learning. Multicultural education is very
important for the integration of the nation because it is in line with
Indonesian nationalism development efforts to address the challenges of
time. The application of scientific learning and multicultural will create
intelligent human resources, religion and nationalism, which has a caring
attitude towards others. With an attitude that is so in the face of Asean
Economic Community will be placed Indonesia as a frontline in the face of
global competition.
