Abstract
Learners, they are not just objects of education, but at certain moments they will be the
subjects of education. This proves that the position of students is not just passively like
empty cups are ready to receive water whenever and wherever. However learners
should be active, creative and dynamic in their interaction with the teacher, as well as
in the development of science. The existence of the learner as one of the sub system of
Islamic education is crucial. Since it is impossible the implementation of Islamic
education does not come into contact with individuals who serve as learners. Educators
do not have any meaning without the presence of students. Thus, it can be said that the
learner is a key that determines the educational interaction, which in turn determines
the quality of Islamic education.The term for the learners has synonyms that much like
in Abuddin Nata, entitled "Perspective of Islam on the pattern of relationship between
teachers and students" that the term, learners are students, while in his book
Syafaruddin et al, entitled "Islamic Education" termed by the students, and other terms.
However, in this paper the term is equated with learners. In the discussion of this paper
will be explained on matters relating to the learners in the perspective of Islamic
educational philosophy which starts from Chapter I Introduction to Chapter III of the
conclusions, may be material to add insight and practice in daily life.
